Hi, have been reading your blog for quite awhile. Can I know why do you not consolidate your POSB STI ETF and OCBC blue chip investment plan since you get to cut on the cost by investing only via OCBC? Or the cost doesn’t really matter in the long run? Thanks.

Hi, thanks for reading my blog and I hope you find it useful! My wife holds the POSB Invest-Saver and I hold the OCBC BCIP (both invest in the Nikko AM STI ETF). Yes, it’s more cost efficient to consolidate our investments but we prefer to keep them separate so we build up our own portfolios to monitor. Cost does matter in the long run. However, we are willing to sacrifice the returns lost on cost savings in exchange for a more balanced investment approach between my wife and I.
